This listing does not come with a battery or charger allowing the customer to use existing batteries or  purchase a Sony BP style battery from the open market ( The battery is not a proprietary design). By not including the battery and charger, we are able to pass the savings on to you and also minimizes shipping issues.
The CAME-OPTIMUS is the successor to our very successful CAME-SINGLE gimbal. The Optimus model also features encoders and allows for one hand operation, but with all of the controls and battery now relocated outside of the handle, the Single handle can be changed to Dual Handles depending on the camera operator's requirement.
The new frame design also allows for the Optimus Gimbal to be operated completely inverted or underslung. All motors rotate a full 360 degrees without limitation for greater range and flexibility during operation. The battery life can run up to 10 hours on a single charge. The single handle has a built in Joystick, but the Optimus will also include a wireless Joystick Remote. The CAME-OPTIMUS has a quick release camera plate along with tool-less adjustments for easy and fast camera balancing.
Some customers may notice a change in the appearance of the Gimbal Remote. Functionally the remote is the same, only the appearance is different. Please note, that if you need to replace your remote, you can only replace it with the the original type that was issued with your Gimbal.

Note regarding lens adapters: We strongly suggest that only native lenses be combined with your cameras while being mounted on these gimbals. Lens adapters such as metabones will add excess weight to the setup (plus usually attached to heavier lenses), which will exceed the max payload, and prevent your gimbal from balancing properly
